Zesion - Vintage Distressed Rug - 5'4 X 8'11

This turquoise, hand-woven, one-of-a-kind Anatolian heritage rug features a flatwoven construction with a faded patina, abrash detail, and overdyed finish. It offers a low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable surface that is layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, and includes a reversible weave for soft-touch comfort, distressed character, ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal quality, and sun-bleached tones.

About This Style

Vintage rugs are defined by an aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones and abrash-like colour variations that reference mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving traditions. Distressed surface treatments, such as selective pile erosion or overdyed finishes, reveal ghost traces of original motifs beneath the surface. Medallion designs serve as the central anchor of these compositions, typically rendered in geometric or stylised forms consistent with classical Turkish craftsmanship.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction makes this rug suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and dining rooms. Its low profile is ideal for layering over larger carpets, while the material composition ensures it is safe for use with underfloor heating systems.
