About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones and abrash-like colour variation characteristic of mid-20th-century Anatolian production. Distressed rugs undergo surface treatments to mimic decades of wear, including erased pile areas that reveal the base structure. Overdyeing processes submerge original rugs in a saturated colour bath, creating a ghost-pattern effect where the underlying motifs remain visible beneath the wash.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie perfectly flush against the floor, making it ideal for high-traffic areas, hallways, and busy kitchens. It is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems and serves as a versatile option for layering over larger carpets.
