About This Style

Vintage rugs evoke an aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variation, and distressed surface treatments that reveal the underlying structure. These pieces frequently incorporate a medallion—a dominant central motif—alongside floral compositions derived from botanical forms like blossoms and vines. The overdying process, where a rug is submerged in a saturated colour bath, creates a ghost-pattern effect, leaving subtle traces of the original design visible beneath the wash.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction ensures this rug lies flat, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its profile is ideal for layering over larger rugs or placing in environments with underfloor heating.
