Material Options

• Paint grade hard maple unfinished cabinet doors feature a hard maple frame with a 1/4" MDF insert panel 
• Red oak, hard maple and cherry unfinished cabinet doors feature a solid wood frame with a matching 1/4" plywood veneer insert panel
• Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) cabinet doors feature a MDF frame and 1/4" MDF insert panel
• White primer and assorted paint colors are available on Wilmington shaker cabinet doors (applied to both sides of cabinet door)
• New Paint colors available: Arctic White, Antique White, Sand Tan, Pewter Gray, Olive Green, Hunter Green, Indigo Blue, Royal Blue and Ebony Black

Paint color samples are available for all paint colors so before starting a larger project, please order a paint sample to make sure the color you are looking for is correct.

• Width: Minimum 7" - Maximum 48"
• Height: Minimum: 9" - Maximum: 83"
• Doors over 26" wide or 48" high will be made with two panels unless specified. Please let us know in the order notes section in the shopping cart.

Hinge Boring Options

• Doors with a height of 42" or less will receive two hinge bores.
• Doors with a height of 42 1/16"- 72" will receive three hinge bores.
• Doors with a height of 72 1/16" or larger will receive four hinge bores.
• Hinge boring will always be on the height side of the cabinet door
• All hinge bore holes are drilled 3" from the top and bottom of the door for any standard European concealed hinge

Are hinges included with my cabinet door purchase?

Cabinet doors don't include hinges, but we offer professional hinge boring ($6/door) for standard European concealed hinges. You can source compatible hinges at retailers like Amazon, Lowe's or Home Depot.

What's the minimum size for Shaker drawer fronts?

Our Shaker drawer fronts require a minimum width of 7" and height of 3 3/8". For smaller openings, consider our slab drawer front style.

Which wood species should I choose for painting?

For painted finishes, we recommend Paint-Grade Hard Maple or MDF. Both feature smooth surfaces ideal for primer and paint application. MDF offers the most uniform painted finish, while Paint-Grade Hard Maple provides superior durability.

Do you offer Shaker doors with glass inserts for upper cabinets?

We offer mullion cabinet doors in both standard and Shaker edge profiles, ready for the glass insert of your choice (sold separately). Choose from one-, four- or six-lite options to showcase your dishes while maintaining the Shaker aesthetic.

How do I determine left vs. right hinge boring?

For square panel doors like our Wilmington Shaker, you can flip the door to accommodate either left or right hinges. For arched or cathedral styles, you must specify hinge side since the design has a specific orientation.

Do your wood doors come prefinished?

All wood doors (Oak, Maple, Cherry) ship unfinished, ready for your custom stain or paint. This allows perfect color matching with existing cabinets. For a finished option, consider our RTF thermofoil doors.

What hardware is included with the doors?

Doors arrive without hardware, allowing you to choose hinges that match your style. We provide precise hinge boring ($6/door) that fits any standard European concealed hinge, ensuring professional installation.
