Whichford Swallowtail Planter

Anyone who loves gardening and butterflies may not be able to resist the Whichford Swallowtail Planter. Decorated on one side with the molded form of the beautifully detailed butterfly that gives this vessel its name, this terracotta pot has a squat silhouette, wider than it is tall. Fill it with pollinator-pleasing annuals to invite visits from real Swallowtail butterflies and their friends, or plant it with Dill or Parsley, which Swallowtails require to lay their eggs.

• Made of terracotta
• Measures 16" wide x 9" tall
• Weighs 14 lbs
• One drainage hole
• For outdoor or indoor use
• Handcrafted in England
• Holds approximately 25 quarts of soil, about 1 bag of our Fafard Container Mix

All Whichford pots have a 10-year frost-proof guarantee. In colder climates where they may be subject to freeze/thaw cycles, we recommend emptying and storing them indoors. If you choose to overwinter your pots outside, cover them and place in a protected area where they are not in contact with bare ground.
