Watermelon Radish (Raphanus sativus)

Also known as Red Meat Radish, this colorful heirloom has a white body (3” in diameter), green shoulders, and bright pinky-red flesh. Sweet, mild flavor and a crunchy, firm texture delicious fresh from the garden and quick-pickled.

• 200 seeds minimum
• Germination: 4-10 days
• Maturity: 60-70 days
• Direct sow ½” deep and 1” apart in full sun/partial shade as soon as soil can be worked. Thin seedlings to 3 inches apart.
• Best to grow in late summer/fall.
