About This Style

Vintage rugs are defined by an aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variations, and surface treatments that mimic decades of use. Distressed designs frequently utilise overdying, a process where a rug is submerged in a single-colour bath to create a ghost-pattern effect over the original motifs. Medallion rugs are characterised by a dominant central motif, often geometric or stylised in Turkish traditions, framed by a distinct border.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction ensures this rug remains flush against the floor, making it ideal for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and living spaces. Its low profile is compatible with underfloor heating systems and allows for seamless layering over larger carpets.

Why Choose This Rug?

• — Features a prominent central medallion motif rendered in turquoise tones, showcasing characteristic sun-bleached hues and distressed aesthetic details.
• — Constructed from a cotton and polyester blend; the cotton provides natural breathability, while the polyester adds durability and moisture resistance for everyday use.
• — The no-pile, flatwoven construction lies flat against the floor, offering a stable surface that resists shedding and simplifies maintenance.
• — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production.
• — Engineered for high-traffic durability and layering, this piece is safe for use with underfloor heating and provides a soft-touch finish.
