Vanuatu Bird Tattoo Design

In the island nation of Vanuatu they have a story-telling tradition that involves drawing beautiful geometric figures in sand as they tell their tales. A former Peace Corps volunteer brought a sketch of this bird pattern to me when he returned from his time there, and I rendered it in pointillist dots to achieve the look of sand.
