About This Style

Vintage rugs are defined by an aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variations, and surface treatments that evoke mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving traditions. Distressed variations incorporate overdyed finishes, where a secondary colour bath is applied to reveal ghost-patterns of the original design beneath the worn surface. Medallion and floral motifs serve as the primary composition, typically rendered in regional geometric patterns framed by distinct borders, reflecting 70s craftsmanship and historical Ottoman design vocabulary.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction makes this rug suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, living rooms, and kitchens. Its thin profile allows for easy layering over larger carpets and ensures compatibility with underfloor heating systems.

Why Choose This Rug?

• — Features a central medallion motif surrounded by intricate floral elements, enhanced by a distressed, overdyed red finish.
• — Constructed from a cotton and polyester blend, where cotton provides essential breathability and polyester adds long-term durability and moisture resistance.
• — The no-pile, flatwoven construction allows the rug to lie perfectly flat, preventing tripping hazards and ensuring a clean, modern profile.
• — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production.
• — Engineered for high-traffic environments, this rug is resistant to shedding and is fully compatible with underfloor heating for year-round comfort.
