Trinacria Sicilian Tattoo Design

The head of Medusa entwined in three legs is the ancient and frightening symbol of Sicily, an autonomous region of Italy. A form of the triskelion, this powerful image makes an outstanding tattoo for anyone of Sicilian heritage. The name trinacria is also a name for the nation, and so is the fullest expression of national identity.
