Trident Maple

A refined small shade tree with handsome three-lobed leaves, strong structure, and brilliant fall color in fiery orange and red.

FEATURES:

• Small to medium ornamental shade tree with a rounded canopy and a clean, architectural branching habit
• Distinctive three-lobed green leaves give the tree a crisp, tailored texture through the growing season
• Fall color brings a brilliant mix of orange, red, and gold for a bold seasonal finish
• Attractive bark matures with subtle exfoliating texture, adding quiet interest as the tree ages
• Excellent choice for streetscapes, patios, courtyards, and smaller yards where a full-size maple would be too much
• Hand Selected; Fresh from the Grower
• Ships on our trucks because of the size of the tree – does not fit in a box

Bower & Branch Landscape Design Tip:

Plant Trident Maple where the fall color can be seen from a window, entry, or outdoor seating area, then keep the base simple with a wide mulch ring and lower plantings that will not compete with the branching; pair it with dark evergreens, soft grasses, or clean mounding shrubs so the orange-red autumn color feels even more dramatic, like the tree waited all year just to throw one perfect party.
