Green Giant Arborvitae

Partial Shade to Full Sun

Zone 5-8a

Thuja standishii × Thuja plicata 'Green Giant', commonly known as Green Giant Arborvitae, is an extremely fast-growing evergreen with a dense, naturally pyramidal form and rich green foliage that stays attractive year-round. It is especially popular for privacy hedges and screens due to its vigorous growth, reaching approximately 20–30 feet in 10 years. It is heat and humidity tolerant, making it an excellent choice for southern gardens, with good disease resistance and some deer resistance. Hardy in Zones 5–8, it grows best in full sun to partial shade and can reach 40–60 feet tall at maturity.
