About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, or worn-look surface treatments. Floral vintage rugs utilise botanical motifs, ranging from dense, scrolled all-over fields to mid-century rose-bouquet repeats that reflect both traditional Ottoman vocabulary and 20th-century regional variations. These pieces frequently draw upon the mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving tradition, where items were produced in small village workshops using regional motifs.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie flush against the floor, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its minimal profile is compatible with underfloor heating systems and serves as an effective base for layering in living areas or bedrooms.
