About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, or worn-look surface treatments. These pieces reference the mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving tradition, where textiles were produced in small village workshops using regional floral motifs. Distressing, which may occur through natural age or intentional overdying, reveals ghost traces of the original pattern beneath the surface wash.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction ensures this rug lies flat, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. It is compatible with underfloor heating and is layering-friendly, allowing for placement over larger rugs or carpeted floors.
