About This Style

Vintage rugs evoke an aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variation, and distressed surface treatments that reveal the foundation. Medallion motifs serve as the primary focal point, typically rendered in geometric forms framed by distinct borders, while floral patterns incorporate traditional botanical elements. These rugs reflect the mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving tradition, where small village workshops produced unique textiles using regional motifs and artisanal dyeing processes.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction ensures this rug lies flat, making it practical for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and living zones. It is compatible with underfloor heating systems and serves as an effective base for layering over larger rugs.
