Temada - Vintage Medallion Rug - 6'2 X 9'10

This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind Anatolian heritage piece features flatwoven construction with a faded patina, abrash detail, and overdyed finish. Designed with a low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable, layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, reversible weave, and soft-touch distressed character, it displays a ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal, and sun-bleached tones.

About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variation, and distressed surface treatments. These pieces frequently incorporate a central medallion motif or botanical floral elements derived from mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving traditions. Distressing is often achieved through an overdyed finish, where original fibres are submerged in a saturated bath, leaving ghost-pattern traces of the underlying design visible beneath the wash.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie perfectly flush against the floor, making it highly suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and dining rooms. Its thin profile is ideal for layering over larger carpets and ensures efficient heat transfer when used with underfloor heating systems.

Why Choose This Rug?
