Tanyosho Japanese Red Pine

A sculptural pine with a flat-topped, umbrella canopy and rich evergreen needles for instant garden artistry

FEATURES:

• Distinct umbrella-shaped canopy with a broad, flat-topped silhouette
• Twisted, character-rich branching that looks more dramatic with age
• Bright green needles with a fine, airy pine texture
• Multi-stem potential for a layered, architectural form
• Slow to moderate growth with a naturally sculpted, ornamental habit
• Strong winter interest with evergreen needles and striking branch structure
• Hand Selected; Fresh from the Grower
• Ships on our trucks because the size of the tree - does not fit in a box.

Bower & Branch Landscape Design Tip:

Think of this tree like living sculpture: it needs negative space. A clean mulch or gravel ring around the base and a few low companions nearby will make the umbrella canopy feel intentional, not crowded. Less “stuff,” more impact.
