Plant Susquehanna® Pawpaw with at least one other pawpaw variety nearby and design the space like a small native fruit grove, using a wide mulch ring beneath the trees and low woodland-style companions around the edges; the mulch helps protect the root zone, the understory makes the planting feel intentional, and the second pawpaw gives pollination a much better chance, because even the superstar of the grove needs a good duet partner.
