Sowing and growing

Start seed in a protected setting using the temperature, depth, spacing, and maturity directions on the packet. Provide strong light after emergence, harden seedlings off gradually, and transplant after frost danger into warm, well-drained soil.

Install a trellis, cage, or other support at planting. Check soil moisture at root depth and adjust watering to weather and plant growth. Harvest color, fruit size, flavor, and maturity vary with temperature, light, moisture, and nutrition. Because the variety is described as an F1 hybrid, saved seed may not reproduce the same traits.
