Steel Old Work Round Ceiling Fixture Box with Short Brace

The Steel New/Old Work Round Ceiling Fixture Box with Short Brace installs between ceiling joists to carry the weight of a ceiling fan or heavy fixture. The steel bar adjusts to span the gap and locks against the framing, giving the box a rigid mount that won't loosen under a fan's motion. New-work versions install before the ceiling is closed; remodel versions feed in through the fixture hole in a finished ceiling. Ideal for adding or upgrading ceiling fans and chandeliers where solid support is essential.
