A treadmill's running surface takes the real punishment, step after step, hour after hour, in a facility where the same deck sees dozens of different users every day. Cushioning the frame helps with vibration, but it does little for the joint impact happening right where the foot actually lands with every stride.

The Star Trac STRc Treadmill builds its Soft Trac triple-cell cushioning system directly into the deck, absorbing shock at the point of impact rather than somewhere downstream of it. Paired with a 5 HP AC motor, it holds up to continuous, all-day commercial use without losing that cushioned feel, even as the hours and the mileage add up.

A 500 pound user weight capacity, higher than Star Trac's own 4TR and 6TR treadmills, makes it one of the most accommodating decks in the lineup, well suited to facilities that see a genuinely wide range of users.

The console is pre-wired for Star Trac's S Series PVS entertainment system, an add-on 15.6 inch HD personal viewing screen that mounts directly to the display with an integrated control keypad for easy operation.

Star Trac's 4TR and 6TR treadmills cap out at a 450 pound user weight capacity, which covers most facilities well.
