Star Trac 8 Series VersaStrider

The one stride fits nobody problem

A fixed stride length was never going to fit every member

Most standing ellipticals lock a user into one stride length or ask them to stop and manually reset it, which means a five foot member and a six foot four member are stepping onto the same fixed motion built for neither of them. On a busy gym floor, that mismatch either gets ignored or it slows down turnover between users.

The Star Trac VersaStrider removes the guesswork with MyStride technology, automatically adjusting stride length between 10 and 32 inches in real time as each person moves. No buttons, no levers, no pausing a workout to reconfigure the machine. Converging movement arms follow the body's natural path, and resistance controls are built directly into the handles so intensity can change mid-stride without breaking form.

An 11 inch step-up height keeps entry and exit safe and simple, while a rear-mounted movement wheel lets one staff member reposition the 591 pound frame alone for cleaning or service, without needing a second set of hands.

One machine, built to keep members connected

Entertainment and tracking that scale with the facility

Choose between the Apex 16 inch HD Touchscreen or the self-generating Apex LED console, both running on the OpenHub platform so the machine gains new features over time rather than aging out the day a newer model ships.

Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch owners can tap to pair and sync workout data automatically, and both console tiers are pre-wired for PVS personal viewing screens, so a facility can add entertainment later without swapping the console.

What dealers say

A cardio investment that keeps members coming back

"For fitness facilities, the VersaStrider delivers a low-maintenance, versatile cardio solution that enhances member satisfaction and keeps them coming back for more."

Authorized Star Trac Dealer

A standard elliptical with a fixed or manually adjustable stride costs less up front, but it puts the burden of finding the right fit on the user or the staff resetting it between sessions. The VersaStrider's automatic adjustment removes that friction entirely, which matters most in high-traffic facilities where a diverse membership shares the same small footprint of equipment all day long.
