Description
The disconnected console problem
Most recumbent bikes still ask you to bring your own tracking
A basic console shows time, distance, and calories, but riders wanting real data end up propping a phone on the reading rack or ignoring the console entirely and relying on their own watch instead.
The Star Trac 8RB Recumbent Bike closes that gap with NFC tap-to-pair syncing for Apple and Samsung Galaxy smartwatches, plus a built-in wireless phone charger, so riders stay connected and powered up without extra gear. The 16 inch Apex HD Touchscreen adds RunTV, PlutoTV, and personal device mirroring for anyone who wants a fully engaging ride.
A step-down Apex LED console is available for facilities that prefer straightforward metrics and Quick Key resistance changes over a full touchscreen experience, so operators can match the console to the space without paying for features members won't use.
Comfort built for long rides
Every detail is built around the seated position
A Morse Taper bottom bracket and pedal system, shared across Star Trac's commercial line, keeps the ride feeling solid through years of daily use.
What the manufacturer says
The flagship seat in Star Trac's recumbent lineup
"The Star Trac Recumbent Bike offers an exceptional cycling experience with the industry's most supportive backrest and a walk-through frame for easy accessibility."
Core Health & Fitness, Star Trac's Manufacturer
Star Trac's own SRBx and 4RB recumbent bikes cover comfortable, commercial-grade cycling at a lower price point, but neither offers smartwatch pairing, wireless charging, or a touchscreen console with streaming apps. The 8RB adds that connected layer for facilities and riders who want their bike to keep pace with the rest of their gear, without stepping all the way up to a full club installation.
Best for
High-end health clubs, luxury hospitality gyms, and rehab or senior wellness facilities that want the most connected, comfort-focused recumbent bike in Star Trac's lineup.
