Star Trac 6 Series Cross Trainer

The lower-body-only problem

A lot of compact ellipticals only ask the legs to work

Fixed handlebars are common on space-efficient cross trainers, which keeps the frame simple but leaves the upper body along for the ride instead of part of the workout. Members end up doing the same lower-body motion they'd get from a bike or a treadmill, just standing up, without the calorie burn and coordination benefit that true upper-body engagement provides.

The Star Trac 6CT Cross Trainer uses articulating movement arms that engage both upper and lower body together, turning a lower-body cardio session into genuine total-body training. A 20 inch fixed stride and alternator resistance system keep the motion smooth across 20 levels of intensity, delivering the kind of consistent, quiet resistance curve that facilities expect from Star Trac's commercial cardio line.

A rear courtesy step and an 11 inch step-up height keep entry and exit approachable for riders of any fitness level, not just the ones already comfortable on cardio equipment. That low, intuitive access point matters most in shared facilities where staff aren't always available to help a hesitant first-time user get on safely.

Connected without feeling complicated

Everything a facility needs, nothing it doesn't

The 16 inch Touch console adds Netflix, RunTV, and personal device mirroring for facilities that want a fully engaging cardio floor.

Authorized Star Trac Dealer

Star Trac's own 4CT Cross Trainer runs 40 resistance levels and a higher 450 pound capacity for less money, so it still wins on raw specs on paper. The 6CT trades some of that range for articulating arms and Bluetooth tap-to-pair connectivity, a fair swap for facilities that want total-body engagement over sheer numbers. A basic budget elliptical without those movement arms might undercut both on price, but it asks members to settle for a lower-body-only workout and a console with none of the Apex platform's connectivity built in.
