Description
A little-known story in American-made knife industry history can be seen this special edition Standard® Trapper. Standard Knife Company was a jobber firm that operated in Little Valley, New York by brothers Elliott and Dean Case from 1901-1903. The two were sons of Jean Case, one of the principals of Case Brothers Cutlery Company.
While Standard Knife Company’s history was short, it left its mark with the Case craftsmen that followed. In honor of Elliott and Dean’s contributions to the family legacy, the word “Standard” is prominently represented on the bar shield embedded in the Heritage jig Molasses bone handle, and in the re-created tang stamp design that appears on the main blade.
Case doesn’t offer a Standard-branded knife often, and inventory of this Trapper is limited. If you or someone you know is a fan of Case history, you’ll want to take advantage of this unique opportunity while it lasts.
