Description
StairMaster 8 Series FreeClimber for Home and Commercial Cardio
The StairMaster 8 Series FreeClimber is a premium pedal-style stair climber designed for users who want challenging lower-body cardio without the footprint or revolving staircase of a full-size StepMill. Its independent pedal geometry creates a controlled climbing motion suited to premium home gyms as well as commercial fitness environments.
With 20 resistance levels and a step rate from 26 to 174 steps per minute, the StairMaster 8 Series FreeClimber supports steady-state cardio, intervals, and progressive conditioning for a broad range of users.
Best for: Dedicated home gyms, health clubs, corporate and hospitality fitness rooms, university facilities, personal training studios, and other spaces seeking a compact StairMaster climbing machine.
Independent Pedal Geometry With Modern Console Options
The patented independent pedal geometry uses a four-bar linkage that keeps the pedals level through the stepping motion. This creates a controlled, repeatable climbing path while allowing users to select the training level that matches their pace and conditioning goals.
Current console options include the Apex LED display and Apex 16-inch HD touchscreen. Depending on configuration, the OpenHub platform supports connected training features, workout data, and modern device integration.
At 43 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 68 inches high, the FreeClimber occupies considerably less floor space than a full-size Gauntlet StepMill while retaining the recognizable StairMaster climbing experience.
A Space-Efficient Alternative to a Full-Size StepMill
The StairMaster 8 Series FreeClimber is a strong option for buyers who want StairMaster cardio training but do not need a revolving staircase. Its 188 lb machine weight, 350 lb user capacity, and compact footprint make it easier to place in residential and smaller commercial training spaces.
The LED configuration is self-generating, while the touchscreen configuration uses a 12V/5A power supply. That flexibility, combined with the smaller footprint, makes the FreeClimber particularly practical for home gyms and facilities where space and electrical planning matter.
