A historic French heirloom since 1885, St. Valery carrots feature sweet, tender flavor with a delightful crunch. Their vibrant red-orange roots, up to 12” long and over 1” wide, have a distinctive blunt tip and are delicious roasted, raw, or in soups and stews.
- 300 seeds minimum
- Germination: 14-28 days
- Maturity: 85-90 days
- Direct sow first crop as soon as soil can be worked in early spring. Gently press scattered seeds into loosened soil. Resow in late summer for a fall crop.
- Plant in full sun and water consistently.
- Space plants 3-4” apart in rows 12” apart.
