Description
Native to Central America, Split-leaf Philodendron (Monstera deliciosa) grows as an understory vine, climbing the trunks and branches of trees in the rainforest to reach up to 70’. Indoors, it is considerably tamer, creating a lush mound of glossy leaves in a container. The heart-shaped leaves are whole when young, and as they age, they develop perforations and splits. A longtime star of catalogs and interior design magazines, this hard-to-find foliage plant is an easy-care evergreen shrub that adds a tropical feel to any interior. Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Also known as Swiss Cheese Plant. Shipped in a nursery pot.
