About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, and worn-look surface treatments. Distressed vintage rugs result from decades of use and the intentional overdyeing process, which leaves ghost traces of the original pattern beneath a saturated colour bath. Medallion rugs are defined by a dominant central motif, typically circular, oval, or diamond-shaped, which serves to anchor the rug's composition within a structurally distinct border.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie flush against the floor, making it highly suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, dining rooms, and entryways. Its profile is compatible with underfloor heating systems and serves as an effective base for layering in larger living spaces.

Why Choose This Rug?

• — A vivid turquoise medallion motif that displays a ghost-pattern effect, achieved through the traditional overdyed process.
• — Engineered from a cotton and polyester blend; cotton provides essential breathability, while polyester ensures high-level durability and moisture resistance.
• — The no-pile, flatwoven construction ensures the piece remains stable, shed-free, and resistant to wear in busy household environments.
• — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production.
• — Compatible with underfloor heating and ideal for layering, providing a practical, soft-touch surface for versatile home placement.
