Description

Code #131 of the SNS Pro Pink Book: a dusty purple. Every code in this book is sold four ways on one listing: the 1.5 oz pre-bonded dipping powder, the 0.5 oz GelStar gel, the gel and lacquer duo, or the 3-in-1 set with powder, gel and lacquer matched to one shade.

Purples are a small family in the Pink Book, so this one has few substitutes. It is a full-set shade that works in every season, and the matching lacquer makes it an easy pedicure pairing.

Why this powder

  • The same shade in gel and lacquer. Every piece of #131 is matched to one color, which is why the same number is printed on the jar, the gel and the lacquer.
  • Built as a system. Our Nutri-Plus system adds vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder, and the GelStar gel is formulated with vitamin E and calcium.
  • Two services from one jar. Dip it over base with no lamp, or pick it up with monomer and sculpt it as an acrylic.
  • Four ways to buy. Powder, gel only, duo or the 3-in-1, at the same price for every code in the book.

How to apply #131

Prep once: push back the cuticle, shape, buff the shine off the plate and wipe with alcohol. Then the service decides the piece.

  1. Dip. A thin coat of base, dip into #131, tap off the excess, repeat once. Activator over the whole nail, file and buff, a second coat of activator, then top coat. No lamp.
  2. Gel. Gel base, cured. Two thin coats of the #131 GelStar, cured after each. Gel top, cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
  3. Lacquer. Two coats of the #131 lacquer, air-dried. Top coat optional.

Removal for dip and gel is an acetone soak, never a peel.

Three bottles finish the dip service, base, activator and top coat, all under Dip Essentials. If you run the GelStar as a gel service, the gel base and gel top are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #131

Can I buy #131 as part of a set?

Yes. It sits on board 4 of the Pink Book, codes #109 to #144, and the board is sold as one bundle in each format, 36 codes at a time. The full 144-code book is also sold as one bundle.

Do I need an activator with #131?

Yes. This is the standard SNS dip routine: base, powder, base, powder, then the Sealer Dry activator over the whole nail before you file, and a second coat before top coat. The activator is what sets the powder. The two no-activator books (Green and Yellow Green) skip it; the Pink Book does not.

Are the gel and the lacquer the same shade as the powder?

Yes, by design. The same number is printed on the jar, the gel and the lacquer because the three are matched to one color. Resins and pigment loads differ between a powder, a gel and a lacquer, so the match is engineered rather than automatic. Check it on the swatch photo or the physical book, not on a screen.

Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Pink Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
