Description

The violet at #099 in the SNS Pro Green Book. Three ways to buy it on this one listing: the 1.5 oz dip and acrylic powder that needs no activator, the soak-off gel and air-dry lacquer duo, or the 3-in-1 set with all three. Same number, same shade, whichever you pick.

Purples are a small family in the Green Book, so this one has few substitutes. It is a full-set shade that works in every season, and the matching lacquer makes it an easy pedicure pairing.

Why this powder

  • Fewer steps. Two thin coats of base, two of powder, then file and top coat. No activator coat at any point, and no lamp for the dip.
  • Hands and toes in one code. The gel and lacquer duo carries the same shade as the powder, so a client can wear #099 as dip on the hands and lacquer on the toes.
  • Acrylic-ready. Sculpt the same powder with monomer when the client wants length rather than an overlay.
  • One formula for the five jobs. Bonding, strength, shine, protection and easy removal, with our Nutri-Plus vitamins and minerals in the base and the powder.

How to apply #099

Prep is the same for all three formats: push the cuticle back, shape, take the shine off the plate, wipe with alcohol.

  1. Dip. Two rounds of thin base and #099 powder, then file, buff and top coat. This powder sets without an activator, so that step is simply left out. No lamp.
  2. Gel. Gel base, two thin coats of the #099 gel and a gel top, each cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
  3. Lacquer. Two air-dried coats of the #099 lacquer for toes or touch-ups.

Both the dip and the gel come off with an acetone soak.

Two bottles finish the dip service, a base and a top coat, both under Dip Essentials. If you run the duo as a gel service, the gel base and gel top are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #099

Can I buy #099 as part of a set?

Yes. It sits on board 4 of the Green Book, codes #091 to #120, and the board is sold as one bundle in each format, 30 codes at a time. The full 120-code book is also sold as one bundle.

Do I need an activator with #099?

No. The powder in the Green Book sets without one. You dip over base, file, and go straight to top coat; the two activator coats of a standard dip service are left out. If your salon runs an activator routine on the 144-shade books, keep it for those and skip it here.

Are the gel and the lacquer the same shade as the powder?

Yes, by design. The same number is printed on the jar, the gel and the lacquer because the three are matched to one color. Resins and pigment loads differ between a powder, a gel and a lacquer, so the match is engineered rather than automatic. Check it on the swatch photo or the physical book, not on a screen.

Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Green Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
