Description

Code #050 of the SNS Pro Green Book: a light pink. This is a book whose powder needs no activator coat, and every code in it is sold three ways on one listing: the 1.5 oz powder, the gel and lacquer duo, or the 3-in-1 set with all three pieces matched to one shade.

Pinks and mauves are 33 of the 120 codes in the Green Book, so this code has close neighbours listed below. Pick by undertone: this one is the shade to sample if you want a pink that reads clearly as pink rather than as a nude.

Why this powder

  • No activator step. Base, powder, base, powder, file, top coat. The two activator coats of a standard dip service are gone, along with the smell at the table.
  • One code, three formats. The powder, the gel and the lacquer of #050 are built to one shade, so the hands and the toes match without a re-swatch.
  • Dip or sculpt. The powder dips over base, and it also sculpts with monomer like an acrylic, so one jar covers both services.
  • Our 5-in-1 formula. Bonding, strength, shine, protection and an easier soak-off removal in one powder, and our Nutri-Plus system adds vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder.

How to apply #050

Start with a clean, dry plate: cuticles pushed back, nail shaped, shine buffed off, alcohol wipe. Then pick the service.

  1. Dip on the hands. Thin base, dip #050, tap, thin base, dip again. File, buff, top coat. There is no activator coat in this routine and nothing to cure.
  2. Gel on the hands. Cure a thin gel base, cure two thin coats of the #050 gel, cure the gel top and wipe.
  3. Lacquer on the toes. Two coats of the #050 lacquer, left to air-dry.

To remove the dip or the gel, soak in acetone. Do not peel; it takes the top layer of the plate with it.

The dip needs a base and a top coat and nothing else: they are under Dip Essentials. Gel base and top for the duo are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #050

Why does #050 look different on my screen?

Because screens shift color. The swatch photo above is the closest reference we can give online, and the physical Green Book is the one to use for a client decision. Packaging may vary by batch; the shade does not.

Is #050 used with an activator?

It is not. This is one of the two SNS Pro books whose powder sets on its own over base, so the service is base, powder, base, powder, file and top coat. Mixing the activator routine from the other books into this one is where mistakes come from, so keep the two routines apart.

Will the gel and lacquer match the #050 powder?

That is what the code is for. We build all three pieces of #050 to one shade, which SNS calls MasterMatch, so the powder on the hands and the lacquer on the toes read as one color. Match against the physical Green Book or the swatch photo above rather than a phone screen when the decision matters.

Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Green Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
