Description

The light nude at #048 in the SNS Pro Green Book. Three ways to buy it on this one listing: the 1.5 oz dip and acrylic powder that needs no activator, the soak-off gel and air-dry lacquer duo, or the 3-in-1 set with all three. Same number, same shade, whichever you pick.

A nude like this is the workhorse of a color wall: full sets, French bases, and the client who wants her nails to look like her nails, only better. The Green Book carries 19 nudes and browns, so compare the neighbours below to pick the undertone that suits the hand.

Why this powder

  • Skip the activator. This powder sets on its own over base, so the service is two coats shorter than a standard dip and there is no activator bottle to buy or to spill.
  • The same shade in gel and lacquer. Every piece of #048 is matched to one color, which is why the same number is printed on the jar, the gel and the lacquer.
  • Two services from one jar. Dip it over base with no lamp, or sculpt it with monomer as an acrylic.
  • Built as a system. We formulate the base and the powder with our Nutri-Plus system, which adds vitamins and minerals, and the powder combines bonding, strength, shine, protection and easy removal.

How to apply #048

Start with a clean, dry plate: cuticles pushed back, nail shaped, shine buffed off, alcohol wipe. Then pick the service.

  1. Dip on the hands. Thin base, dip #048, tap, thin base, dip again. File, buff, top coat. There is no activator coat in this routine and nothing to cure.
  2. Gel on the hands. Cure a thin gel base, cure two thin coats of the #048 gel, cure the gel top and wipe.
  3. Lacquer on the toes. Two coats of the #048 lacquer, left to air-dry.

To remove the dip or the gel, soak in acetone. Do not peel; it takes the top layer of the plate with it.

Pair the powder with a base and a top coat from Dip Essentials, and the gel with a base and top from Base & Top Gel. No activator is needed with this book.

Questions about #048

Why does #048 look different on my screen?

Because screens shift color. The swatch photo above is the closest reference we can give online, and the physical Green Book is the one to use for a client decision. Packaging may vary by batch; the shade does not.

Is #048 used with an activator?

It is not. This is one of the two SNS Pro books whose powder sets on its own over base, so the service is base, powder, base, powder, file and top coat. Mixing the activator routine from the other books into this one is where mistakes come from, so keep the two routines apart.

Will the gel and lacquer match the #048 powder?

That is what the code is for. We build all three pieces of #048 to one shade, which SNS calls MasterMatch, so the powder on the hands and the lacquer on the toes read as one color. Match against the physical Green Book or the swatch photo above rather than a phone screen when the decision matters.

Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Green Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
