Description
Green Book #040 is a light nude, one of the 120 codes in the SNS Pro Green Book, the dip and acrylic powder that sets without an activator. Pick the format on this listing: the powder alone, the matching gel and lacquer duo, or all three as a 3-in-1 set. The shade is the same in each.
Nudes are the everyday shades a salon reorders most, and this one is built for the client who wants a clean hand for the office. It works as a full set, as the base of a French, and under an accent nail from the same book.
Why this powder
- Fewer steps. Two thin coats of base, two of powder, then file and top coat. No activator coat at any point, and no lamp for the dip.
- Hands and toes in one code. The gel and lacquer duo carries the same shade as the powder, so a client can wear #040 as dip on the hands and lacquer on the toes.
- Acrylic-ready. Sculpt the same powder with monomer when the client wants length rather than an overlay.
- One formula for the five jobs. Bonding, strength, shine, protection and easy removal, with our Nutri-Plus vitamins and minerals in the base and the powder.

How to apply #040
Start with a clean, dry plate: cuticles pushed back, nail shaped, shine buffed off, alcohol wipe. Then pick the service.
- Dip on the hands. Thin base, dip #040, tap, thin base, dip again. File, buff, top coat. There is no activator coat in this routine and nothing to cure.
- Gel on the hands. Cure a thin gel base, cure two thin coats of the #040 gel, cure the gel top and wipe.
- Lacquer on the toes. Two coats of the #040 lacquer, left to air-dry.
To remove the dip or the gel, soak in acetone. Do not peel; it takes the top layer of the plate with it.
Two bottles finish the dip service, a base and a top coat, both under Dip Essentials. If you run the duo as a gel service, the gel base and gel top are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #040
Is the swatch photo accurate?
It is the best online reference, but a screen is not a nail. For a color decision, match #040 against the physical Green Book. Packaging styles vary by batch; the code and the shade are the same.
Will the gel and lacquer match the #040 powder?
That is what the code is for. We build all three pieces of #040 to one shade, which SNS calls MasterMatch, so the powder on the hands and the lacquer on the toes read as one color. Match against the physical Green Book or the swatch photo above rather than a phone screen when the decision matters.
Is this a dip powder or an acrylic powder?
Both. Over base it works as a dip overlay; with monomer it sculpts like an acrylic. One jar of #040 does either job.
Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Green Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
