Description
Green Book #038 is a nude beige, one of the 120 codes in the SNS Pro Green Book, the dip and acrylic powder that sets without an activator. Pick the format on this listing: the powder alone, the matching gel and lacquer duo, or all three as a 3-in-1 set. The shade is the same in each.
A nude like this is the workhorse of a color wall: full sets, French bases, and the client who wants her nails to look like her nails, only better. The Green Book carries 19 nudes and browns, so compare the neighbours below to pick the undertone that suits the hand.
Why this powder
- Skip the activator. This powder sets on its own over base, so the service is two coats shorter than a standard dip and there is no activator bottle to buy or to spill.
- The same shade in gel and lacquer. Every piece of #038 is matched to one color, which is why the same number is printed on the jar, the gel and the lacquer.
- Two services from one jar. Dip it over base with no lamp, or sculpt it with monomer as an acrylic.
- Built as a system. We formulate the base and the powder with our Nutri-Plus system, which adds vitamins and minerals, and the powder combines bonding, strength, shine, protection and easy removal.

How to apply #038
Prep is the same for all three formats: push the cuticle back, shape, take the shine off the plate, wipe with alcohol.
- Dip. Two rounds of thin base and #038 powder, then file, buff and top coat. This powder sets without an activator, so that step is simply left out. No lamp.
- Gel. Gel base, two thin coats of the #038 gel and a gel top, each cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
- Lacquer. Two air-dried coats of the #038 lacquer for toes or touch-ups.
Both the dip and the gel come off with an acetone soak.
For the dip you need our base and top coat, both under Dip Essentials; there is no activator to buy. The gel base and gel top for the duo are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #038
Why does #038 look different on my screen?
Because screens shift color. The swatch photo above is the closest reference we can give online, and the physical Green Book is the one to use for a client decision. Packaging may vary by batch; the shade does not.
Is #038 used with an activator?
It is not. This is one of the two SNS Pro books whose powder sets on its own over base, so the service is base, powder, base, powder, file and top coat. Mixing the activator routine from the other books into this one is where mistakes come from, so keep the two routines apart.
Will the gel and lacquer match the #038 powder?
That is what the code is for. We build all three pieces of #038 to one shade, which SNS calls MasterMatch, so the powder on the hands and the lacquer on the toes read as one color. Match against the physical Green Book or the swatch photo above rather than a phone screen when the decision matters.
Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Green Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
