Description

The black at #129 in the SNS Pro Burgundy Book. Four ways to buy it on this one listing: the 1.5 oz Gelous Color dipping powder, the GelStar gel alone, the gel and lacquer duo, or the 3-in-1 set with all three. Same number, same shade, whichever you pick.

A black is a full-set shade in winter, an accent nail all year, and the base for most nail art. The powder gives a deep, even black that a lacquer usually needs three coats to reach.

Why this powder

  • Hands and toes in one code. The gel and lacquer duo carries the same shade as the powder, so a client can wear #129 as dip on the hands and lacquer on the toes.
  • Nutri-Plus in the jar. We add vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder, and vitamin E and calcium to the GelStar gel.
  • Acrylic-ready. Sculpt the same powder with monomer when the client wants length rather than an overlay.
  • The cheapest way to own a code. The 0.5 oz GelStar gel is sold on its own.

How to apply #129

Prep once: push back the cuticle, shape, buff the shine off the plate and wipe with alcohol. Then the service decides the piece.

  1. Dip. A thin coat of base, dip into #129, tap off the excess, repeat once. Activator over the whole nail, file and buff, a second coat of activator, then top coat. No lamp.
  2. Gel. Gel base, cured. Two thin coats of the #129 GelStar, cured after each. Gel top, cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
  3. Lacquer. Two coats of the #129 lacquer, air-dried. Top coat optional.

Removal for dip and gel is an acetone soak, never a peel.

For the dip you need our base, the Sealer Dry activator and a top coat, all under Dip Essentials. The gel base and gel top for the GelStar are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #129

Which board is #129 on?

Board 4, which runs #109 to #144. The board is sold as one bundle in the same formats as this listing, so it is a way to fill a quarter of a Burgundy Book wall in one order. The full book of 144 codes is sold the same way.

How do I remove #129?

Acetone soak for the dip and the gel, ordinary remover for the lacquer. Wear is a few weeks for most clients, more or less depending on prep and what the hands do all day.

Do I need an activator with #129?

Yes. This is the standard SNS dip routine: base, powder, base, powder, then the Sealer Dry activator over the whole nail before you file, and a second coat before top coat. The activator is what sets the powder. The two no-activator books (Green and Yellow Green) skip it; the Burgundy Book does not.

Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Burgundy Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
