Description

Code #123 of the SNS Pro Burgundy Book: an off white. Every code in this book is sold four ways on one listing: the 1.5 oz pre-bonded dipping powder, the 0.5 oz GelStar gel, the gel and lacquer duo, or the 3-in-1 set with powder, gel and lacquer matched to one shade.

Whites and creams do the French tips, the full-set summer whites and the base for nail art. This is the powder to reach for when a client wants a clean, opaque finish without streaks, and the lacquer in the duo does the same job on the toes.

Why this powder

  • Hands and toes in one code. The gel and lacquer duo carries the same shade as the powder, so a client can wear #123 as dip on the hands and lacquer on the toes.
  • Nutri-Plus in the jar. We add vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder, and vitamin E and calcium to the GelStar gel.
  • Acrylic-ready. Sculpt the same powder with monomer when the client wants length rather than an overlay.
  • The cheapest way to own a code. The 0.5 oz GelStar gel is sold on its own.

Pick the format on the selector above; the price shown there is the same for every code in the Burgundy Book. If you only run gel, the GelStar alone is the smallest way in.

How to apply #123

Prep is the same for every format: push the cuticle back, shape, take the shine off the plate, wipe with alcohol.

  1. Dip. Two rounds of thin base and #123 powder, activator, file and buff, a second activator coat, top coat. No lamp.
  2. Gel. Gel base, two thin coats of the #123 GelStar and a gel top, each cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
  3. Lacquer. Two air-dried coats of the #123 lacquer for toes or touch-ups.

Both the dip and the gel come off with an acetone soak.

The dip needs a base, an activator and a top coat: they are under Dip Essentials. Gel base and top for the GelStar are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #123

Is the swatch photo accurate?

It is the best online reference, but a screen is not a nail. For a color decision, match #123 against the physical Burgundy Book. Packaging styles vary by batch; the code and the shade are the same.

Can I sculpt with the #123 powder?

Yes. It is a dip and acrylic powder: dip it over base for an overlay, or pick it up with monomer and sculpt it over a form like any acrylic. The same jar covers both services, which is why the format is named Dip/Acrylic.

How do I remove #123?

Acetone soak for the dip and the gel, ordinary remover for the lacquer. Wear is a few weeks for most clients, more or less depending on prep and what the hands do all day.

Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Burgundy Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
