How to apply #069

Start with a clean, dry plate: cuticles pushed back, nail shaped, shine buffed off, alcohol wipe. Then pick the service.

1. Dip on the hands. Thin base, dip #069, tap, thin base, dip again. Activator, file, buff, activator again, top coat. Nothing to cure.
2. Gel on the hands. Cure a thin gel base, cure two thin coats of the #069 GelStar, cure the gel top and wipe.
3. Lacquer on the toes. Two coats of the #069 lacquer, left to air-dry.

To remove the dip or the gel, soak in acetone. Do not peel; it takes the top layer of the plate with it.

Is #069 a glitter or a shimmer?

A glitter. The sparkle is in the powder, so it runs through the whole layer and does not wear off the surface the way a glitter top coat does. Many salons pair it with a cream from the same family as an accent nail.

Can I sculpt with the #069 powder?

Yes. It is a dip and acrylic powder: dip it over base for an overlay, or pick it up with monomer and sculpt it over a form like any acrylic. The same jar covers both services, which is why the format is named Dip/Acrylic.

How do I remove #069?

Acetone soak for the dip and the gel, ordinary remover for the lacquer. Wear is a few weeks for most clients, more or less depending on prep and what the hands do all day.
