Description

Burgundy Book #061 is a black cherry, one of the 144 codes in the SNS Pro Burgundy Book. Pick the format on this listing: the Gelous Color dipping powder, the GelStar gel on its own, the gel and lacquer duo, or all three as a 3-in-1 set. The shade is the same in each.

A red like this does most of its work on a pedicure wall and on the client who books the same color every month. It reads as red under salon light and under daylight, so it photographs the way it looks on the hand.

Why this powder

  • Hands and toes in one code. The gel and lacquer duo carries the same shade as the powder, so a client can wear #061 as dip on the hands and lacquer on the toes.
  • Nutri-Plus in the jar. We add vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder, and vitamin E and calcium to the GelStar gel.
  • Acrylic-ready. Sculpt the same powder with monomer when the client wants length rather than an overlay.
  • The cheapest way to own a code. The 0.5 oz GelStar gel is sold on its own.

How to apply #061

Prep once: push back the cuticle, shape, buff the shine off the plate and wipe with alcohol. Then the service decides the piece.

  1. Dip. A thin coat of base, dip into #061, tap off the excess, repeat once. Activator over the whole nail, file and buff, a second coat of activator, then top coat. No lamp.
  2. Gel. Gel base, cured. Two thin coats of the #061 GelStar, cured after each. Gel top, cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
  3. Lacquer. Two coats of the #061 lacquer, air-dried. Top coat optional.

Removal for dip and gel is an acetone soak, never a peel.

Three bottles finish the dip service, base, activator and top coat, all under Dip Essentials. If you run the GelStar as a gel service, the gel base and gel top are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #061

Which board is #061 on?

Board 2, which runs #037 to #072. The board is sold as one bundle in the same formats as this listing, so it is a way to fill a quarter of a Burgundy Book wall in one order. The full book of 144 codes is sold the same way.

How do I remove #061?

Acetone soak for the dip and the gel, ordinary remover for the lacquer. Wear is a few weeks for most clients, more or less depending on prep and what the hands do all day.

Do I need an activator with #061?

Yes. This is the standard SNS dip routine: base, powder, base, powder, then the Sealer Dry activator over the whole nail before you file, and a second coat before top coat. The activator is what sets the powder. The two no-activator books (Green and Yellow Green) skip it; the Burgundy Book does not.

Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Burgundy Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
