Description

Blue Book #110 is a dark red, one of the 144 codes in the SNS Pro Blue Book. Pick the format on this listing: the Gelous Color dipping powder, the GelStar gel on its own, the gel and lacquer duo, or all three as a 3-in-1 set. The shade is the same in each.

A red like this does most of its work on a pedicure wall and on the client who books the same color every month. It reads as red under salon light and under daylight, so it photographs the way it looks on the hand.

Why this powder

  • Hands and toes in one code. The gel and lacquer duo carries the same shade as the powder, so a client can wear #110 as dip on the hands and lacquer on the toes.
  • Nutri-Plus in the jar. We add vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder, and vitamin E and calcium to the GelStar gel.
  • Acrylic-ready. Sculpt the same powder with monomer when the client wants length rather than an overlay.
  • The cheapest way to own a code. The 0.5 oz GelStar gel is sold on its own.

How to apply #110

Prep once: push back the cuticle, shape, buff the shine off the plate and wipe with alcohol. Then the service decides the piece.

  1. Dip. A thin coat of base, dip into #110, tap off the excess, repeat once. Activator over the whole nail, file and buff, a second coat of activator, then top coat. No lamp.
  2. Gel. Gel base, cured. Two thin coats of the #110 GelStar, cured after each. Gel top, cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
  3. Lacquer. Two coats of the #110 lacquer, air-dried. Top coat optional.

Removal for dip and gel is an acetone soak, never a peel.

Pair the powder with base, activator and top coat from Dip Essentials, and the gel with a base and top from Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #110

Which board is #110 on?

Board 4, which runs #109 to #144. The board is sold as one bundle in the same formats as this listing, so it is a way to fill a quarter of a Blue Book wall in one order. The full book of 144 codes is sold the same way.

Is this a dip powder or an acrylic powder?

Both. Over base it works as a dip overlay; with monomer it sculpts like an acrylic. One jar of #110 does either job.

How long does #110 last, and how does it come off?

Most clients get a few weeks from a dip set, though prep and lifestyle move that a lot. The dip and the gel both come off with an acetone soak; the lacquer with regular remover. Never peel a dip or gel set, it takes the surface of the nail with it.

Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Blue Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
