Description

#051 is a red from the SNS Pro Blue Book. The powder dips over base and sets with activator, the GelStar gel cures under a lamp and the SNS Nail Lacquer air-dries, and all three are matched to this one shade. Choose the format above; the price is the same for every code in the book.

A red like this does most of its work on a pedicure wall and on the client who books the same color every month. It reads as red under salon light and under daylight, so it photographs the way it looks on the hand.

Why this powder

  • One code, three pieces. The powder, the gel and the lacquer of #051 are built to one shade, which SNS calls MasterMatch, so the hands and the toes match without a re-swatch.
  • Pre-bonded Gelous Color powder. The jar is our Nutri-Plus formula, and we formulate the base and the powder with vitamins and minerals, with vitamin E and calcium in the GelStar gel.
  • Dip or sculpt. The powder dips over base and sets with activator, and it also sculpts with monomer like an acrylic, so one jar covers both services.
  • Buy only what you use. The gel is sold alone, so a gel salon can carry the whole book without the powder.

How to apply #051

Prep once: push back the cuticle, shape, buff the shine off the plate and wipe with alcohol. Then the service decides the piece.

  1. Dip. A thin coat of base, dip into #051, tap off the excess, repeat once. Activator over the whole nail, file and buff, a second coat of activator, then top coat. No lamp.
  2. Gel. Gel base, cured. Two thin coats of the #051 GelStar, cured after each. Gel top, cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
  3. Lacquer. Two coats of the #051 lacquer, air-dried. Top coat optional.

Removal for dip and gel is an acetone soak, never a peel.

Pair the powder with base, activator and top coat from Dip Essentials, and the gel with a base and top from Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #051

Can I buy #051 as part of a set?

Yes. It sits on board 2 of the Blue Book, codes #037 to #072, and the board is sold as one bundle in each format, 36 codes at a time. The full 144-code book is also sold as one bundle.

Can I sculpt with the #051 powder?

Yes. It is a dip and acrylic powder: dip it over base for an overlay, or pick it up with monomer and sculpt it over a form like any acrylic. The same jar covers both services, which is why the format is named Dip/Acrylic.

How do I remove #051?

Acetone soak for the dip and the gel, ordinary remover for the lacquer. Wear is a few weeks for most clients, more or less depending on prep and what the hands do all day.

Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Blue Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
