Description

#144 is an emerald teal glitter from the SNS Pro Beige Book. The powder dips over base and sets with activator, the GelStar gel cures under a lamp and the SNS Nail Lacquer air-dries, and all three are matched to this one shade. Choose the format above; the price is the same for every code in the book.

This is one of 16 glitter codes in the Beige Book. Glitter dip shows the sparkle in the powder itself rather than in a top coat, so the shimmer runs through the whole layer and does not wear off the surface. Most techs use it as an accent nail or over a matching cream from the same family.

Why this powder

  • The same shade in gel and lacquer. Every piece of #144 is matched to one color, which is why the same number is printed on the jar, the gel and the lacquer.
  • Built as a system. Our Nutri-Plus system adds vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder, and the GelStar gel is formulated with vitamin E and calcium.
  • Two services from one jar. Dip it over base with no lamp, or pick it up with monomer and sculpt it as an acrylic.
  • Four ways to buy. Powder, gel only, duo or the 3-in-1, at the same price for every code in the book.

How to apply #144

Start with a clean, dry plate: cuticles pushed back, nail shaped, shine buffed off, alcohol wipe. Then pick the service.

  1. Dip on the hands. Thin base, dip #144, tap, thin base, dip again. Activator, file, buff, activator again, top coat. Nothing to cure.
  2. Gel on the hands. Cure a thin gel base, cure two thin coats of the #144 GelStar, cure the gel top and wipe.
  3. Lacquer on the toes. Two coats of the #144 lacquer, left to air-dry.

To remove the dip or the gel, soak in acetone. Do not peel; it takes the top layer of the plate with it.

The dip needs a base, an activator and a top coat: they are under Dip Essentials. Gel base and top for the GelStar are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #144

How do I get a smooth surface on a glitter powder like #144?

Glitter powders carry the sparkle in the powder itself, so the surface is a little more textured than a cream before you file. Do the same rounds of base and powder, then file lightly, buff, and rely on the top coat to level the finish. Most techs use a glitter as an accent nail over a cream from the same family.

Which liquids go with #144?

The SNS dip essentials: EA Bond on the bare plate, Gel Base for each dip, Sealer Dry as the activator, and Gel Top to finish. They are the same bottles for every code in the Beige Book, and they sit in the complementary products on this page and under Dip Essentials.

Will the gel and lacquer match the #144 powder?

That is what the code is for. We build all three pieces of #144 to one shade, which SNS calls MasterMatch, so the powder on the hands and the lacquer on the toes read as one color. Match against the physical Beige Book or the swatch photo above rather than a phone screen when the decision matters.

Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Beige Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
