Description

Beige Book #105 is a rust red, one of the 144 codes in the SNS Pro Beige Book. Pick the format on this listing: the Gelous Color dipping powder, the GelStar gel on its own, the gel and lacquer duo, or all three as a 3-in-1 set. The shade is the same in each.

This is the shade for a client who asks for red and does not want to talk about it further. It sits well next to a nude on a French-style accent set, and it is a safe pick for toes because the lacquer in the duo is the same code.

Why this powder

  • Hands and toes in one code. The gel and lacquer duo carries the same shade as the powder, so a client can wear #105 as dip on the hands and lacquer on the toes.
  • Nutri-Plus in the jar. We add vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder, and vitamin E and calcium to the GelStar gel.
  • Acrylic-ready. Sculpt the same powder with monomer when the client wants length rather than an overlay.
  • The cheapest way to own a code. The 0.5 oz GelStar gel is sold on its own.

How to apply #105

Start with a clean, dry plate: cuticles pushed back, nail shaped, shine buffed off, alcohol wipe. Then pick the service.

  1. Dip on the hands. Thin base, dip #105, tap, thin base, dip again. Activator, file, buff, activator again, top coat. Nothing to cure.
  2. Gel on the hands. Cure a thin gel base, cure two thin coats of the #105 GelStar, cure the gel top and wipe.
  3. Lacquer on the toes. Two coats of the #105 lacquer, left to air-dry.

To remove the dip or the gel, soak in acetone. Do not peel; it takes the top layer of the plate with it.

The dip needs a base, an activator and a top coat: they are under Dip Essentials. Gel base and top for the GelStar are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #105

Can I buy #105 as part of a set?

Yes. It sits on board 3 of the Beige Book, codes #073 to #108, and the board is sold as one bundle in each format, 36 codes at a time. The full 144-code book is also sold as one bundle.

Can I sculpt with the #105 powder?

Yes. It is a dip and acrylic powder: dip it over base for an overlay, or pick it up with monomer and sculpt it over a form like any acrylic. The same jar covers both services, which is why the format is named Dip/Acrylic.

How do I remove #105?

Acetone soak for the dip and the gel, ordinary remover for the lacquer. Wear is a few weeks for most clients, more or less depending on prep and what the hands do all day.

Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Beige Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
