Description

Beige Book #081 is a rosy brown, one of the 144 codes in the SNS Pro Beige Book. Pick the format on this listing: the Gelous Color dipping powder, the GelStar gel on its own, the gel and lacquer duo, or all three as a 3-in-1 set. The shade is the same in each.

Browns and earth tones are fall and winter shades on most walls, and this one holds up well as a full set or as the dark half of a two-tone. It sits with the 23 nudes and browns on the Beige Book card, so it is a natural step up from a nude for a client who wants more depth.

Why this powder

  • The same shade in gel and lacquer. Every piece of #081 is matched to one color, which is why the same number is printed on the jar, the gel and the lacquer.
  • Built as a system. Our Nutri-Plus system adds vitamins and minerals to the base coat and the powder, and the GelStar gel is formulated with vitamin E and calcium.
  • Two services from one jar. Dip it over base with no lamp, or pick it up with monomer and sculpt it as an acrylic.
  • Four ways to buy. Powder, gel only, duo or the 3-in-1, at the same price for every code in the book.

How to apply #081

Prep once: push back the cuticle, shape, buff the shine off the plate and wipe with alcohol. Then the service decides the piece.

  1. Dip. A thin coat of base, dip into #081, tap off the excess, repeat once. Activator over the whole nail, file and buff, a second coat of activator, then top coat. No lamp.
  2. Gel. Gel base, cured. Two thin coats of the #081 GelStar, cured after each. Gel top, cured, then wipe the tacky layer.
  3. Lacquer. Two coats of the #081 lacquer, air-dried. Top coat optional.

Removal for dip and gel is an acetone soak, never a peel.

For the dip you need our base, the Sealer Dry activator and a top coat, all under Dip Essentials. The gel base and gel top for the GelStar are under Base & Top Gel.

Questions about #081

Which board is #081 on?

Board 3, which runs #073 to #108. The board is sold as one bundle in the same formats as this listing, so it is a way to fill a quarter of a Beige Book wall in one order. The full book of 144 codes is sold the same way.

Are the gel and the lacquer the same shade as the powder?

Yes, by design. The same number is printed on the jar, the gel and the lacquer because the three are matched to one color. Resins and pigment loads differ between a powder, a gel and a lacquer, so the match is engineered rather than automatic. Check it on the swatch photo or the physical book, not on a screen.

Can I sculpt with the #081 powder?

Yes. It is a dip and acrylic powder: dip it over base for an overlay, or pick it up with monomer and sculpt it over a form like any acrylic. The same jar covers both services, which is why the format is named Dip/Acrylic.

Color swatches vary with screens and lighting. For accuracy, match against the physical SNS Beige Book. Packaging styles may vary by batch.
