About This Style

Vintage rugs are defined by an aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variations, and distressed surfaces that reveal the underlying structure. Medallion rugs are anchored by a central circular, oval, or diamond-shaped motif, a hallmark of classical Anatolian design, while floral elements incorporate botanical patterns ranging from dense scrolls to bouquet repeats. Distressing is frequently achieved through an overdyed process, which leaves ghost traces of the original pattern visible beneath a saturated colour wash.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie flat, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and entryways. Its profile is compatible with underfloor heating systems and is effective for layering over larger rugs.
