About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, and worn-look surface treatments. These pieces reference the tradition of mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving, where items were produced in small village workshops using regional motifs. Distressing in these rugs is often achieved through an overdyed process, where the rug is submerged in a saturated colour bath, leaving ghost traces of the original floral or geometric pattern visible beneath the wash.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie perfectly flat, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and entryways. Its low profile ensures it is layering-friendly and safe for use over underfloor heating systems.

Why Choose This Rug?

• — Features a classic floral motif rendered in a distressed, ghost-pattern aesthetic with sophisticated beige and brown sun-bleached tones.
• — Constructed from a durable cotton and polyester blend; cotton provides essential breathability, while polyester ensures moisture resistance and longevity.
• — The flatwoven construction results in a no-pile surface that remains stable in high-traffic areas and facilitates easy maintenance.
• — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production.
• — Versatile design that is underfloor-heating safe and ideal for layering to create depth in large, busy living spaces.
