Shirley Poppies - Amazing Grey

(Papaver rhoeas)

A dramatic color palette rarely seen in the garden! Single and semi-double flowers in shades of smoky lavender, dove grey and silvery slate resemble crinkled chiffon skirts, often with a contrasting white center or picotee edge. Graceful and easy to grow, blossoms arise on wiry stems that seem to dance in mixed borders, where they contrast nicely with pastel and jewel-toned companions. A cool season favorite, poppies bloom profusely throughout spring, providing a long-lasting display before self-sowing for next season’s blooms.
