Shaor - Vintage Floral Rug - 5'11 X 8'9

This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece embodies Anatolian heritage through its flatwoven construction, faded patina, and distinct abrash detail. Featuring an overdyed finish, low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable surface, it is layering-friendly and underfloor-heating safe. The reversible weave, soft-touch, distressed character, ghost-pattern, and 70s craftsmanship in a cotton-polyester blend reflect single-piece artisanal sun-bleached tones.

About This Style

Vintage rugs are defined by their aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variations, and worn-look surface treatments. These pieces reference the mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving tradition, where items were produced in village workshops using regional motifs. Floral vintage rugs utilise botanical forms, ranging from dense, scrolled all-over fields to mid-century rose-bouquet repeats that reflect both historical Ottoman design vocabulary and regional 20th-century variations.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie completely flat, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its thin profile is ideal for layering over larger carpets or placement on floors with underfloor heating.
