About This Style

Vintage rugs are defined by their aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variations, and historical motifs derived from mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving traditions. Distressed surface treatments reveal the rug’s underlying structure, frequently achieved through an overdyed finish that leaves ghost-pattern traces of the original design visible beneath the saturated colour. A medallion-style rug is anchored by a central circular, diamond, or oval motif, which serves as the focal point of the composition, framed by structurally distinct, stylised borders.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie completely flat, making it an ideal choice for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its minimal profile is compatible with underfloor heating systems and serves as a practical base for layering over larger rugs.

Why Choose This Rug?
