About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variation, or worn-look surface treatments. Distressed rugs utilise a surface treatment that mimics decades of wear, where overdying processes leave ghost traces of the original pattern visible beneath the wash. Medallion motifs serve as a hallmark of classical design, typically anchoring the composition with a central circular, diamond, or geometric form framed by a distinct border.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie flat against the floor, making it highly functional for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and entryways. It is also suitable for underfloor heating systems and serves as an effective base for layering over larger rugs.

Why Choose This Rug?

• — Features a central medallion motif with a distinct, overdyed green finish that highlights the distressed character and ghost-pattern details.
• — Constructed from a cotton and polyester blend, offering the breathability of cotton alongside the moisture resistance and durability of polyester.
• — The flatwoven construction results in a no-pile surface, ensuring the rug lies flat and remains easy to maintain in busy households.
• — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production.
• — Engineered for high-traffic durability and compatibility with underfloor heating, providing a reliable and stable floor covering.
